Teenagers, young children, even Adults all struggle with the seemingly mundane task of waking up early in the morning, this struggle is often pertained to ideas of laziness and a lack of discipline. However, extensive research has revealed that biological changes that occur during adolescence make it natural for teenagers to wake up late. This relatively unknown fact has substantial consequences for their academic performance and general wellbeing. As a result, it is essential to reconsider school start times for teenagers and ensure they are better aligned with their natural sleep patterns.
