Nüte was born to change the way we eat for the future of our planet. This heartful beauty was born in 2020, founded by Cheman Cheung who partnered with Nelson Koe and Jasmine. Cheman went to school in Harrow UK and went on to graduate with an economics degree at Oxford. Despite his academic sucess, he found cooperate life in finance as rigirious and straining, the death of his Dad eventually convinced Cheman to embark on a new journey, leaving behind his intense lifestyle in Hong Kong to try to find his passion. It allowed him to explore his father's hobbies namely cooking, a dream he was never able to pursue, so Cheman cooked and spent time in the mountains and seas. He felt an uplift in his body and a desire to give back to Nature as that was the only thing that kept his life from falling apart.


So in 2020, Nüte was launched by Chem, Nelson and Jas. Their first-ever product was the Functional smoothies or Icebar smoothies. It's a refreshing ice pop that can instantly turn into a smoothie with a blender, a few bits of frozen banana and some coconut water. So these could be enjoyed like a popsicle on a hot summer day or consumed by blending it into a refreshing healthy smoothie. They created 5 flavours which were: Detox, Destress, Energy, Immunity and Recovery. All 5 flavours give different benefits towards your body and taste extremely delicious. Their second product is functional granolas, functional because these 3 granolas are specified for the time of day and can be used on any type of meal, made with only organic produce.


Cheman’s desire to commit towards a more sustainable future meant he wanted to expand his company, so in May 2021 he set up Benko by Nüte. Benko was nute’s sister in the F & B concept, located at the baseball at Jardine's house. Benko by food types were completely separated from Nüte in Nourishment. Benko was a Japanese deli serving fast and healthy Benko boxes, Cheman knew that the consumers in the healthy F&B market were looking for healthy but good-tasting food, so Cheman created great tasting Japanese hits but with the Nüte healthy version of it. This was a huge hit for Nüte as consumers emphasised their enjoyment over a wonderfully delicious meal that is both healthy and packed with nutrients.


More recently Nute has opened the Pacific Place Pop which is Located on L2 right next to Harvey Nichols. As the smoothies were only on sale on their websites, many consumers who were either Benko consumers or general F&B Consumers didn't know that Nüte were selling products. So on the 3rd of June 2023, the PP pop-up was open. The pop-up sold a whole lot of different items from hot food to baked goods to cold and hot beverages but the biggest hits were the famous Miso Banana Bread.


This summer I was fortunate to have the opportunity to intern at this Nute. I was able to observe and work under Cheman Cheung and his colleagues in both operations and management whilst also at the pop-up serving food and beverages to customers. I came into this internship expecting to learn how a business is managed, however, I came out with it learning how to be a better person and grow as a person. I was able to observe Cheman's work ethic, his devotion to his company and his good heart towards his fellow employees.
